Gators hosting another talented group of recruits in town for Junior Day
The Florida Gators have been busy for far in the month of January, with a Junior Day taking place each weekend. Several important prospects between various classes have made their way to Gainesville to take in the sights, and spend time around the coaching staff. That will be the case once again this weekend, with another batch of visitors making their way to The Swamp. Swamp247 takes a look at some of the names expected in.
Florid started off a busy weekend on Friday, with a handful of names in town. After landing an offer from the Gators this past week, Royersford (PA) Spring-Ford four-star quarterback Matt Zollers is set to make his first ever visit to UF. He’s schedule to arrive in Tampa on Thursday, and will visit USF that day before making his way to Gainesville on Friday. He’s also slated to visit Georgia on Saturday, another team that recently offered him. A group of players from the state of New Jersey have also been expected to be in town this weekend as well. Leading that group is Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic four-star wide receiver Quincy Porter. The Gators extended an offer this past September, and will be getting him on campus for the first time. Some other names expected in, that do not currently have an offer from the Gators include three-star wide receiver Braswell Thomas, three-star athlete Pedro Reyes, and 2026 running back Julian Peterson.
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy is another important area in-state for any school around the county. Florida’s focus there is no different. Several names from there also were in town on Friday.
The bulk of the visitors for the weekend are expected in town on Saturday.
