Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette said during an appearance on 105.9 The X with Mark Madden that the Steelers are not including Kliff Kingsbury on their list of candidates to fill the vacant offensive coordinator job.

I will tell you Kliff Kingsbury, despite what you’re hearing, is not on their list,” Dulac said. “Now, that’s not saying it [won’t] change, but they have a list of candidates and he is not on their list.”

NBC Sports’ Peter King had previously reported just last week that the Steelers and Chicago Bears were planning on talking with Kingsburry about their offensive coordinator openings.

Kingsbury is currently working as a Senior Offensive Analyst at USC, where he’s helped develop potential 2024 first overall pick Caleb Williams. And his track record as a quarterbacks coach is stellar – Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray have all flourished under Kingsburry’s coaching as well.

The Steelers have reached out to a handful of candidates already. They’ve interviewed Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown and requested an interview with Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson. Their most recent interview was with Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson.
