The Open Remark of Russell Westbrook Regarding Anthony Edwards

Russell Westbrook of the Los Angeles Clippers expressed admiration for Anthony Edwards.

Star Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves dominated the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night, with 33 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in the victory. Guard Russell Westbrook of the Clippers responded, “I see him getting better,” when asked about Edwards following the game. This league has one thing going for it: the difficulty gets better every year. He has already taken that leap this year, taking this team to the top of the Western Conference. He’s doing a fantastic job at it.”

Westbrook acknowledges that the Timberwolves’ dominant position in the Western Conference is largely due to Edwards’ play this season. On Sunday night, the star guard was able to deliver a huge performance against a scorching Clippers squad, helping Minnesota to their 28th victory of the year.

After the game, Edwards complimented the Clippers, telling reporters he enjoyed the challenge of playing defense against all of their studs.

“That’s why I look forward to playing [the Clippers] all the time,” Edwards said, per Sheldon Wohlman of Utility Sports. “They will attempt to isolate you whether you’re in front of James, PG, or Kawhi. You have to be proud of that task and make an effort to support them. I think I did a really decent job tonight, other from Kawhi giving me a tough bucket.”
